HandoverVault Privacy Policy

HandoverVault is a site handover and snag list inspection app for iPhone and iPad, published by MoveSnap (“we”, “us”).

This policy explains how the app handles information. It covers the HandoverVault iOS app only — not this website, and not any other product.

Nothing. We operate no servers and hold no database of users. We cannot see your projects, your photos, your clients or how you use the app, because none of it is ever sent to us.

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party software development kits. It makes zero background network requests.

The app asks for two permissions, each only at the moment you first use the feature that needs it. You can refuse or revoke either in Settings › Privacy & Security; the rest of the app continues to work.

HandoverVault does not request location access and does not record GPS coordinates where photographs were taken.

Only when you deliberately send it, and only to a destination you choose. The app never initiates a transfer on its own.

• Reports: When you share a PDF or CSV, iOS hands the file to whichever app you pick — Mail, Messages, Files, AirDrop, or another. What happens next is governed by that app and that recipient, not by us.
• Backups: A backup is a single file you save where you choose, such as Files or iCloud Drive. If you save it to a cloud service, that service's own terms and privacy policy apply to it.
• Support Email: If you email us, we receive whatever you put in that email. We use it to answer you and keep it no longer than we need to.

Backup files and exported reports are not encrypted by the app beyond the protection provided by wherever you store them. A backup contains photographs, client names and signatures, so store and send it with that in mind.

HandoverVault is a professional tool, so much of what you enter is information about other people — client names, signatures, subcontractor contacts.

That information is yours, held on your device, under your control. We never see it and never process it on your behalf. You are responsible for handling it lawfully, which generally means collecting it fairly, keeping it secure, and sharing reports only with people entitled to see them. Where data protection law applies to your business, you are the controller of that information and we are not a processor of it.

HandoverVault is free to use for a trial period, after which a one-time purchase unlocks the ability to share finished reports. There is no subscription.

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details — not your card number, not your billing address, not your Apple Account. The app asks Apple whether a purchase exists and records the answer on your device. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

The trial start date is stored on your device only.

Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to retain, and no data-deletion request to make of us.

You control your own copy: delete individual photos, defects or projects inside the app, or remove the app to erase everything it holds. Backup files you have already saved elsewhere are not affected by deleting the app — delete those yourself if you no longer want them.

HandoverVault is a tool for building and trade professionals. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age — because we collect no information at all.

If we change how the app handles information — for example by adding an optional cloud sync feature — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that version is released. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
