What the app does
ToolTally tracks tools you lend out and tools you have borrowed from other people. You record who took what, which job site it went to, and when it is due back — then photograph its condition before it leaves and again when it returns, so there is a timestamped record if there is ever a disagreement about damage.
Everything is stored on the device. No account, no sign-up, no cloud, and it works with no signal.

Condition photos with proof

- Add photos any time while a tool is out; re-using a label replaces that angle and keeps the earlier shot as history rather than deleting it
Before / after comparison
- Side-by-side view of matching angles
- Wipe slider — drag a divider across both photos to reveal fine scratches and chips
- Full-screen viewer with pinch-to-zoom
- Photos with no counterpart are still shown and clearly marked, so nothing is hidden
- Condition recorded at both ends: Good / Fair / Damaged
Guided return
- The app walks through each original photo and asks for the matching shot, showing the original as a reference
- Extra photos can be added for damage that was not there before
